Can You Go 82-0? is a free, fan-made basketball simulator. There's no payment, and no account is needed to play — every mode and every feature works without one. You can optionally create an account on canyougo820.com to carry your progress between devices. This page explains what data the game handles either way, and the basic terms for using it.

Information we collect

• Anonymous gameplay analytics — the game logs anonymous events (e.g. a season being started or simulated, win/loss totals, which coach or era was chosen) via Google Firebase Analytics. This isn't tied to your name or identity.
• Optional Global Leaderboard submissions — if you choose to submit a run to the public Global Leaderboard, the team name you type, your record, chosen coach, era, chemistry score, and starting five are stored and shown publicly to every visitor. This only happens if you press "Submit" — don't type anything in the team name field you wouldn't want public. Global Leaderboard entries aren't linked to any account and can't be edited or deleted by us on request, since they're anonymous by design.
• Locally saved progress — your personal best record, Trophy Room, collected Legends, level and XP, streaks and daily statistics are saved either in your browser (localStorage) or, if you're playing through CrazyGames, via CrazyGames' own Data Module tied to your CrazyGames account if you have one. If you are not signed in to an 82-0 account, this data stays on your device or with CrazyGames and is never sent to us.
• Account details, if you create one — your email address and a password. The password is hashed and stored by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see it, and it is never stored anywhere in this game. We send a verification email to the address you give, and use it to sign you in and to send a reset link if you ask for one. It is not used for marketing and is not shared or sold.
• Cloud-saved progress, if you're signed in — while you're signed in, the same progress listed above (record, Trophy Room, Legends, level and XP, streaks, daily statistics and your chosen GM name) is also copied to a private document in Google Firestore so it can follow you to your other devices. Only your account can read or write it. Your device stays the primary copy — the cloud one is a mirror, and the game keeps working normally if it is unreachable. Your theme choice and other device settings are deliberately not synced.

Accounts are available on canyougo820.com only. If you're playing through CrazyGames, GameDistribution or any other portal, no account option is shown and nothing above about accounts applies to that session.

Third-party services

• Google Firebase — Analytics, the Firestore database behind the Global Leaderboard and cloud saves, and Firebase Authentication for accounts. Google processes and stores this data on our behalf; see Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — loads a web font file directly from Google's servers.
• CrazyGames — if you're playing on crazygames.com, their own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that session, including any ads or SDK features their platform provides.

Accounts are optional

The game never asks for payment information, and you never have to make an account. Playing signed out is the full game: every mode, every screen, the Trophy Room, the Daily Challenge and the Global Leaderboard all work exactly the same. An account only adds the ability to carry your progress to another device.

Signing out does not remove anything. Your progress stays on the device you were playing on.

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

• Your account and cloud save are kept until you delete them. Open the account menu and choose Delete my account: that permanently removes your cloud save and your login. The progress stored on your device is deliberately left alone, so deleting an account never costs you your Trophy Room.
• Locally saved progress stays until you clear your browser's site data for this game, or clear it through CrazyGames if that's where you're playing.
• Global Leaderboard entries are public and permanent. They're anonymous by design and can't be edited or removed on request — so don't type anything into the team name field you wouldn't want public.
• Analytics events are retained by Google Firebase Analytics under Google's own retention settings and aren't tied to your name or identity.

If you'd like your account data removed and can't do it yourself for any reason, email the address at the bottom of this page and we'll handle it.

Terms of use

• The game is provided free, "as is," with no warranty of any kind.
• This is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NBA or any NBA team. All team and player names belong to their respective owners and are used here for identification purposes only.
• Please don't attempt to exploit, spam, or disrupt the Global Leaderboard.
